So just after switching the engine off and within 10 seconds, hold the alarm deactivation button until the red light comes on then exit the vehicle and lock the car as normal. See if that stops the alarm going off. If not then it's not the interior sensors and maybe that the alarm module needs replacing.

The Grand C4 Picasso dash looks good (although the exact layout varies considerable between models) and is easy to use, plus all the major functions can be controlled by buttons on the steering wheel, which means you don’t need to stretch across.
Reliability hasn’t always been a Citroën strong point, but the C4 Picasso has proved to be decently durable so far. Air-con systems can be temperamental and the dash illumination can fail, while the EGS transmission hasn’t proved bullet-proof – but problems aren’t a foregone conclusion in any of these areas.
