Canon has announced a firmware update for the new 1D Mark IV. The update has not yet been released, and is due in late January. The new firmware 1.0.6 enhances AF tracking performance. There is also a firmware update 2.0.0 on the Canon USA website that is specific to the wireless file transmitter. From the Canon USA website.

Firmware Version 1.3.0 is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.2.1. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.3.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Once the EOS-1D X Mark III is updated to Firmware Version 1.3.0 (or later), it cannot be restored to a previous firmware version (Version 1.0.0 to 1.2.1).
