2 Ares. Kratos’ original boss was a very powerful god indeed, but was eliminated first in the series because he would’ve been a huge hindrance in Kratos’ way otherwise. Ares was easily the

Kratos defeated Persephone and chained Atlas in the process, making him forever hold up the world on his shoulders. As Helios was released, Atlas told Kratos that they'd meet again (which they did in God of War II), and that Kratos would one day regret what he'd done here. NenasCruvinel.

A lot happened to Kratos between God of War 3 and his new adventures on PlayStation 4. Many God of War fans thought the third game was the end of the franchise, and why wouldn’t they? From all that Kratos wrought, it seemed the entire world was destroyed. Floods, disease, storms, spirits, and all kinds of disasters rained down on Greece.
Kratos had a human mother, and god father, so he was, at the very least, born a demi-god. However, anybody (human or demi-god) can be elevated to full godhood - at least in Greek Mythology (not God of War Mythology). E.g. In God of War 2 Kratos drains all his godly power into the blade of olympus so if he loses the sword he is rendered either a mortal or a demigod(its not proven what his status was after losing the blade of olympus). fast forward to the end of God of War 2, kratos

Kratos keeps saying he's a god, while he's not. He's a demigod (son of a god and a human). His godly strength of the god of war has long since vanished. So either he's lying (again), something's changed during his travels or it is a little retcon. In terms of his aging, depends on the above. If he's a demi-god I'm sure he'll age.
