Gameplay and Combat. God of War 2018 is a soft reboot in terms of both story and gameplay. For starters, the game is no longer an isometric feeling fixed camera game. You’re always in 3rd person, behind Kratos when playing. And when it comes to cutscenes, the game is a “1 take” game. Ultimately, choosing to play God of War with a controller or a mouse and keyboard is a personal decision made by the player. Though God of War was initially created for the PlayStation, Jetpack Interactive worked diligently to port the project to PC with responsive controls and smooth, beautiful graphics. No matter which controller is used to Windows Central – 5/5. The Sixth Axis – 8/10. God is a Geek – 10/10. GameByte – 8.5/10. Polygon – unscored. Rock Paper Shotgun – unscored. So, there you have it. God of War is at last God of War PC review. Cards on the table, my original intention with God of War on PC was just to use it as a benchmark tool for hardware testing. With no in-game benchmark tool, though, the only alternative is to do it the ‘hard’ way: playing the game. “Oh, well, I’ll just play the opening,” I thought, and foolishly believed it for a God of War originally launched on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro consoles back in 2018 to critical acclaim, instantly updating the legacy franchise to modern standards. The game in its original form was rendered at 1080p (checkerboarded 4K on PS4 Pro) with a frame rate target of 30 FPS. The game was later updated to run at 60 FPS when God of War is Sony's biggest PC launch to date. BOY! God of War's PC port is fantastic. We now live in a world where God of War is a PC game, and it's a damn good one at that. It's had a fantastic God Of War PC review summary. In Short: Kratos looks better than ever in this welcome PC port of one of the best action adventures of the outgoing generation. Pros: Some of the best storytelling
