Some people 'just don't want to see' the difference between sapphire and gorilla glass. Amazon also sells scratch-resistant tempered glass screen protectors at very cheap prices. And I did a search and found that AR coated sapphires can be scratched. It was easy to see posts about scratched sapphires in the luxury watch community.
